8— Lexus LF-1 Limitless
The Lexus LF-1 Limitless prototype on display in Toronto is Lexus’ interpretation of its sedan of the future. The concept was designed with the idea that it can be powered by a multitude of electrified powertrains: fuel cell, self-charging gasoline-electric hybrid, gas-electric plug-in and battery powered EV. For the moment this remains just a design study.
Lexus is anticipating with the LF-1 Limitless the future adoption of a "Chauffeur mode". This technology allows full hands-free driving, thanks to the vehicle's electronic control devices that control steering, braking, acceleration, as well as headlights, lights and turn signals.
