What a cockpit! The electric blue leather steering wheel draws almost as much attention as the silver face gauges - sharp. The A-Spec was never meant to be a wallflower.

You can expect that the Type S A-Spec won't lack for luxury features. The Acura/Bose AM/FM stereo/cassette with in-dash 6 CD changer that I tested previously was superb, and adjustable via steering wheel mounted controls. Other luxuries should carry over too, such as automatic climate control with micron filtration, an automatic day/night rearview mirror, 8-way power driver's seat with 2-position memory, front-passenger's 4-way power seat, Homelink remote control system, a power glass sunroof with sunshade, power heated outside mirrors with memory and remote trunk release actuated by the remote keyless entry fob. A navigation system is not offered.

While Acura has performed well in this category over the years, the current TL is getting a bit old now that it's in its 5th year. Still, if you're into a stealth family sedan it's hard to get more quality and performance for the money. The new Type S A-Spec should attract more attention from both buyers and passers by, and concurrently spur on sales. That said the competition has been heating up, especially from Japanese rival Infiniti. Truth be told, the Acura doesn't quite match the G35 in performance, while the upstart's dramatic styling and luxury features are impressive - a few things to consider.
