Toyota
The Toyota RAV4 Prime is, no question, the brand's flagship plug-in hybrid and a superstar on the market. Canadian drivers are crazy for it, so much so in fact that only patient buyers need apply. Waits can stretch to months.
Here’s one reason for its popularity: with the current financial incentives in place, it's even cheaper to get the PHEV version than to settle for a RAV4 hybrid.
The SUV shines so bright it actually casts some unfair shade on the Prius Prime, which is no slouch either with its 40 km range and very low fuel consumption.
Possible range (in electric mode): 40 km (Prius Prime) and 68 km (RAV4 Prime).
