Toyota Camry Solara Best 2-Door in Latest Crash Tests
Mitsubishi's Galant GTS V6 withstands tossed bowling balls, barbeques, garbage cans, and compact cars, out-handling its Toyota Camry XLE V6 rival in the alternative Japanese automaker's zany new TV ad "Accident Avoidance."
It's quicker to 100 km/h than the same Camry as well as the Accord, and then out-brakes them both to standstill, according to the equally humorous Mitsubishi website www.seewhathappens.com.

But no matter how good a car's active safety elements are, sometime the inevitable happens and a crash occurs. Galant owners can take comfort knowing their car is not only a dynamic driver, but delivers a 5-star frontal impact crash test rating according to the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Galant joins the Acura TL in this honor, the best possible score in the model year 2004 New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).

Honored for top spot in the 2-door category is Toyota's new Solara Camry, the only two-door vehicle to get a 5-star rating.
The government organization's website (www.safercar.gov) stated that the Solara proved best for both the driver and right front passenger in the frontal impact crash test.
