The Stelvio Quadrifoglio, one exceptional beast

Truly sporty, performance-minded SUVs are still a rare breed, even more so those capable of rivaling cars on the track. You can now add one more to that short list, with the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s Quadrifoglio version. Well-heeled performance addicts now know how much one of the new utility models will set them back: $95,000.

“We specifically crafted the Stelvio Quadrifoglio to truly set itself apart among high-performance vehicles and it does not disappoint – whether being driven on the Nürburgring or on roads across North America. Equipped with the most powerful Alfa Romeo engine ever and our advanced Q4 all-wheel-drive system, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio roars to life with an exhilarating driving experience.”

- Tim Kuniskis, Head of Alfa Romeo

Take an ordinary Alfa Romeo Stelvio, give it the V6 twin-turbo and dynamic qualities of the Giulia Quadrifoglio, and you get a utility vehicle that is both seductive and highly athletic, can accelerate from a stop to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and attain a top speed of 283 km/h. These capabilities are short of what the 707-hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk ($109,995) and 650-hp Lamborghini Urus can do, but place the model ahead of the 400-hp Porsche Macan Turbo ($87,200), for example.

Other performance-enhancing elements include the carbon-fibre drive shaft, a torque vectoring differential, four-mode Alfa DNA Pro selector with RACE mode and a Quadrifoglio-tuned adaptive suspension, as well as an available high-performance Brembo carbon-ceramic brake system. And if ever you feel compelled to want to save on fuel, the engine comes with a cylinder-deactivation system!

In terms of design, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio features a distinctive rear spoiler, 20-inch alloy wheels equipped with larger Brembo brake calipers, Alcantara leather seating (also available are truly awesome Sparco sport seats!), genuine carbon-fibre interior accents and much more.
