Up to 45-degree Fahrenheit reduction in intake air temperature

In January, FCA promised to unveil a new ultimate performance halo car, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, during the New York Auto Show week in April.

We’ve already shown you the first eleven teasers, titled Cage, Reduction, Body, Crate, Forced Induction, Multiplication, Third Law, Race-Hardened Parts, Performance Pages, No Pills, and Lock and Load. Now, here’s No Ice, which focuses on the car’s super cooled air induction system.

Dodge claims the engine (which has yet to be specified, by the way) can perform like it’s running in the cold Alaskan air, even after a day of runs down the strip on a hot summer day.

The Challenger SRT Demon is the first-ever factory production car with a liquid-to-air “charge air cooler chiller” system. This exclusive performance feature enables it to achieve charge air induction temperatures previously unattainable by pressure-charged, street-legal production vehicles.
