2022 Volkswagen ID.4
Volkswagen's first all-electric vehicle for North America takes the form of a compact crossover. Recall that the company first launched the ID.3, a Golf-sized compact car, but it is not intended for sale on this side of the Atlantic.
The absence of the ID.3 from our market notwithstanding, Volkswagen does have big plans here, electrically speaking. Coming our way at some point in the near-future (and also on display at the NY Auto Show) is the highly anticipated ID. Buzz, the reincarnation of the brand's famous microbus... in electric form, of course!
For now, the ID.4 rivals Ford's Mustang Mach-E as one of the mass-market electric segment’s more fun-to-drive vehicles. Just know that the wait times we’re hearing from buyers who have reserved one are pretty eye-popping right now.
