Once again Torontonian Paul Tracy proved he's the master of Vancouver's challenging Molson Indy road course, the 7th race weekend of a 16 event series that goes by the unusually long name of Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford.

If Tracy had merely won it a single time no such boasting would be necessary, but this is the third time in five years that the 2003 championship winner managed to walk away from the rest of the field, in dominating fashion.

But it wasn't as easy as he made it look, according to Tracy. During the post-race press scrum he commented, "The first part of the race was going the way that we wanted. We were able to build a 2 to 3 second lead. The last stop of the day went according to plan, on the radio they said I was good to go. Then they came on the radio and said I needed to start saving fuel. They said that we weren't going to make it and that I needed to build at least a 25 second lead. After running laps like I was qualifying and bumping a few times into the wall, I was able to do that. We made that stop, filled up, and finished on top. It is good to get these points and be back in the battle for the Championship."
