BMW X1
Current Generation: 2023
BMW introduced the third generation of its X1 SUV last year. The lineup remains straightforward, but 2024 sees the arrival of a second option, the M35i xDrive, joining the xDrive28i. The new addition offers a sportier style, a more powerful version of the 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder (312 hp instead of 241), along with adaptive suspension and high-performance brakes. Also, this new variant will be the first from the company to feature version 9.0 of BMW's multimedia system.

BMW X2
Current Generation: 2024
For the X2, a sportier version of the X1, we are currently awaiting the arrival, as the second generation was presented in the fall of 2023, and its introduction to North America is expected next spring. We should see the M35i xDrive variant initially. An all-electric version named iX2 will also be introduced, but it’s not yet known whether it will cross the Atlantic.

BMW X3
Current Generation: 2018
While the 3 Series was long the best-selling vehicle in BMW's lineup, that honour now goes to the X3 SUV, marketed since 2004. The company's best-selling product is starting to show its age, and its successor is expected in 2024 as a 2025 model.
BMW X4
Current Generation: 2019
The X4, the sportier version of the X3, also reaches the end of its road in 2024. Since its sales are much lower, the company decided not to bring it back for 2025. It is offered with the same trim levels as the X3 (xDrive30i, M40i, and M), except that it is not available with the plug-in hybrid powertrain.
BMW X5
Current Generation: 2019
Despite its age, the X5 remains a highly competent product. It comes in various configurations, including gasoline, plug-in hybrid, and contributions from the M division. For 2024, several changes are noted as a mid-cycle update occurs. There are aesthetic touches at the front and rear, and the interior modernizes with the integration of BMW's Digital Display Cockpit. The 40i versions see their 3.0L turbocharged 6-cylinder engines gain power, while the M60i versions also see their 4.4L turbocharged V8s offer more than before. It's worth noting that the plug-in hybrid variant is now named 50e instead of 40e, highlighting gains in power and range. The M variant now features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

BMW X6
Current Generation: 2020
The story is similar with the X6, the sportier, coupe-style version of the X5. The engines are the same, except for the plug-in hybrid version, reserved for the X5.
Please note that roughly six times fewer X6 units are sold in Canada than X5 units.
BMW X7
Current Generation: 2019
The X7 was one of the big revelations in recent years for BMW. While many questioned the relevance of another SUV, the model established itself with undeniable quality and an extraordinary driving experience, considering its size.
The regular X7 returns in the same form for 2024, with xDrive40i and M60i trim levels (6 and 8-cylinder engines, respectively). What changes is the power offered by the Alpina XB7 version. Its 4.4L turbocharged V8 now delivers 630 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds.

BMW XM
Current Generation: 2023
The XM is the brand's most performance-oriented SUV and the first vehicle designed from the ground up by BMW's M division since the iconic M1 of 1978.
For 2024, a new version named Label Red is added to the lineup, with even more power. Essentially, the plug-in hybrid powertrain of the XM now offers up to 738 hp.
