2022 Full-Size SUV of the Year: GMC Yukon / Yukon XL
Unsurprisingly, the podium of finalists in the big fella category consisted of three American models this year. The Jeep Wagoneer would have been a strong contender for that podium as well, the other American contender, but no one on the panel had the opportunity to put it to the test on time. And it's the same story for the Sequoia, which will, for its part, carry the 2023 model-year designation when it arrives later this year.
This year, it's the GMC Yukon/Yukon XL that finishes at the top of the poll. Our panelists gave it to the edge due to the slightly higher-grade interior than found in its opposite number over at Chevy.

2022 Luxury Subcompact SUV of the Year: Audi Q3
It wouldn’t have been a dumb bet to predict the Volvo XC40 repeating its win in last year's vote. But no, for all its qualities, the XC40 was overtaken this year by the Audi Q3, a crossover that has been on the market for a few years now. Our reviewers appreciated its good handling and its tech-filled interior.
