Only a few components will ''inspire'' the new design source:
f1.racing-live.com In September, the old Arrows A23 was tested by Minardi and named "PS04", the car that was supposed to compete in the 2004 championship. Now the small Italian team has decided to use the PS03 as the basis for the PS04, which will be a new design with only a few ideas taken from the Arrows A23. A modified PS03 was already tested at Vallelunga during private testing two weeks ago. More modifications are coming before the first Grand Prix in Australia, until the final version is named "PS04". "Paul Stoddart bought some Arrows A23's and this car was tested at Mugello," said Gian Carlo Minardi. "It was only used to evaluate the work of another team. Our engineers will now find what is interesting on that car to improve our own car. Gabriele Tredozi (the technical director) will look at every details to develop of our car." The new car from Faenza will be a Minardi with a few touches from the A23... but it will definitely be a Minardi !
